  1. Wash your vase. Use dish soap and rinse thoroughly to remove residue.
  2.
  3. Trim stems at an angle. Recut 1–2 cm off the ends before placing in water.
  4.
  5. Remove leaves below the waterline. Leaves in water promote bacteria.
  6.
  7. Add flower food. Use the packet provided, or mix 1 tbsp sugar + ¼ tsp bleach per litre if needed.
  8.
  9. Use room‑temperature water. Fill your vase and top up as needed.
  10.
  11. Choose a cool spot. Keep away from heat, direct sun, drafts, and ripening fruit.
  12.
  13. Refresh every 2–3 days. Change water and recut stems to keep hydration up.
  14.
  15. Remove spent blooms. This keeps the rest of the bouquet looking fresh.

How long do roses last?

With good care, roses typically last a week or more. Cooler rooms extend vase life.

Guard petals

Only remove the outer guard petals just before arranging to avoid bruising.

Daily check

Top up water and give stems a quick recut if heads start to droop.
